Mar de fondo
Mar de Fondo is the winning project of the first La Lata call, a joint initiative of Ediciones Remotas and Veintinueve Trece to promote contemporary photography in the Canary Islands.
Mar de fondo is defined as change in the waters, the movement of the waves that spreads out of the place where it has been generated, being able to reach far away places.
In this book Yasmina Pérez Molina creates an intimate universe, close and recognizable, in which two concepts hover: our condition as an island population and the reflection of the relationship we have maintained with the outside world throughout our history. It explores the evolution of the links and the relationship with the place of origin over the years.
Aleix Plademunt, photographer and co-founder of the editorial project Ca l'Isidret, has been in charge of accompanying Yasmina in the edition of this book that was presented on November 9 in the framework of the Festival de Fotografía y Artes Visuales Veintinueve Trece de Lanzarote.
