The book covers the traditional underwear of Lanzarote throughout history, from the 18th to the 20th century. The author, Ricardo Reguera Ramírez, carries out an exhaustive study of the intimate garments used on the island, explaining their materials, manufacturing techniques and cultural context.

The book was created in parallel to the exhibition Vestir la ropa blanca: una mirada al interior, curated by Reguera himself, which brought together more than 150 original pieces and reproductions of traditional Lanzarote lingerie. As stated in the end credits, many of these pieces were loaned by families on the island and organisations such as museums, parrandas and folklore groups.
