The first meeting of women poets was held in 1996 in Vigo and the second the following year in Córdoba. Between 1 and 4 October, 45 women, including poets, theorists and literary critics, met in Lanzarote. One of the aims of the meeting was to create a space for debate on women's issues, and more specifically to create a forum for creators of poetry written by women in the 20th century, as well as to pay tribute to two figures of Canarian poetry: Pino Betancor and Pino Ojeda. This book brings together the papers given by twelve women authors at the meeting.
