Diez libros para una isla.
‘Diez libros para una Isla’ (Ten books for an island) is a collaborative work resulting from a survey conducted by the Lanzarote Council Data Centre among prominent figures in the island's cultural scene, who were asked to choose the ten most significant books for understanding Lanzarote. It is not a conventional novel with a plot or characters, but rather a cultural, literary, aesthetic and identity-based expression of insularity. It compiles and reflects on the ten most representative works of the island, covering its history, literature and landscape. This work aims to highlight the bibliographic legacy of Lanzarote and invite reflection on its essence through the words of those who have best described it, helping to understand, love and preserve the island.
The ten books are:
- Lancelot 28 7
- Mararía, Lanzarote
- Arquitectura inédita
- La lapa
- Lanzarote
- Por los campos de lava
- Cuadernos de Lanzarote
- Le canarien
- Tesoros de la isla y Majos
- La primitiva población de Lanzarote
