Our imaginezine 'Huerto' is back.

Back in 2021 we were surrounded by orange trees and artichokes. At that moment @zoebarcelo created the imaginezine ‘Huerto’ for @geoginer. That was Issue nº1. Five years later, we decided to take it up again. 🙂

Everything started here. 3kms far away from the Mediterranean Sea, in a coastal small town called Vinaròs, in Castellón. Geo left Amsterdam behind to spend more time with her parents. That also meant to spend more time in the garden -el huerto-, 'l'hort' her father Manel would say.

Right now, this reference came to our minds. Let us share this beautiful idea with you:

'Plants that choose movies'

A few months later in 2021, we moved to Lanzarote. First thing we did: we planted many mango trees, papayas, dragon fruits, aguacates, guayabas and many more. The vegetable garden was growing super fast. Geo and her father were finally understanding (a little better) this beautiful volcanic soil. Issue nº2 was relased.

Spring 2023 was our last Issue. Check our next post on instagram to see its content. One of the sections pays tribute to films named after vegetables. 'Fried green tomatoes' is iconic, modernity would have transformed it into this version below:

That makes us think also of the project we developped last year with Coral Wan, another talented woman.
