1. Canarias Surf Film Festival 🌊
We start with the Canarias Surf Film Festival. It is special to us, as it was the first surfing event where we unveiled Latitud Fuego®. It returns to Lanzarote, back to the timple museum.
This festival, which is present in practically all the Canary Islands, brings a local, national and international programme of films about surfing. Talks, live music, and a surf market with local brands linked to the sea. Chema, its founder, has a keen eye for bringing the best surfing content to the islands. 13 editions, that's a wow. 👏 The dates and venues change every year, but it usually takes place in autumn:

2. Lava Circular 🐚
Lava Circular is, in short, an interdisciplinary cultural circuit that travels around the island of El Hierro over several days, combining art, music, territory and local memory. Things happen on these tours: concerts, artistic performances, talks, workshops, sound pieces, etc.
This cultural offering, combined with the authenticity of the island of El Hierro, makes this event unmissable. Here you will find the entire creative community from the Canary Islands and beyond. Note the names of Octavio and Ampi as founders, Hisla collective, and names that will ring a bell, such as SantanaSantana behind the art direction of this year's edition illustrated by Lucas Velasco. 9 editions.

3. International Ocean Film Tour 🌊
An international film festival where you can watch documentaries focused on marine life. It covers water sports such as surfing, coastal cultures, research projects, ocean conservation, and even issues of inclusion and human rights. The programme is very varied, with the ocean as the central narrative thread.
In Lanzarote, it is held in the Jameos del Agua auditorium, a high-quality audiovisual show we follow every year. 11 Editions.

4. Veintinueve Trece 📸
Born in 2016, this event was created to organise a gathering for people linked to creativity. It promotes critical thinking through photography and visual arts, activates social movements and generates a more inclusive worldview.
It takes place every November in the city of Arrecife. This year's theme has been “the collective”. And they have now completed 10 editions.

5. Destiladera, Tenique Cultural 🎥
Tenique Cultural is a non-profit association founded in Lanzarote in 2018 that promotes thinking through cinema and audiovisual culture. They have an extensive programme on various topics, including children's themes. 'La Muestra de Cine de Lanzarote' is their best known project.
Then, an invaluable niche project is “Destiladera, Lanzarote revelado”, which aims to recover old films shot in Lanzarote using non-professional formats such as 8mm or Super-8. It is usually scheduled for May. 3rd edition.

Before continuing with the latest news, let us mention a beautiful initiative led by Coral Gómez who created La Volcana. Under this platform, Coral coordinates various local brands linked to creativity and organises experiences on the island. Big kiss to La Jefa.

Javier Abad presenting his book
'Micro Aventuras'.

Javier Abad has been working as a photographer for over 25 years. He started out as a snowboard photographer and has been a wedding photographer for the last 15 years. From the outset, he has believed that the ultimate destination for photography should be the physical format, whether that be creating his own magazine, wedding albums or, as in this case, a book.
In this talk, Javier will tell us how he brought this project to life and the importance of books in the fast-paced, digital world we live in. His book is a celebration of nature, photography and the importance of living. But beyond that, it is an invitation to look more closely, to connect with what is around us and to seek out our own microadventures, wherever they may be.
This will be the first book presentation at Latitud Fuego® Haría. Big thanks to Rubén Acosta, photographer and co-owner of book house Ediciones Remotas, for proposing this event. We look forward to seeing you there.
